1. What progress have you made on your project and research in the past few weeks?
a. Explain how you met your goals

· This marking period I was able to accomplish my goal of creating a developed project as well as making an effective thesis. My main goal was to have a stance on the issue and I have definitely accomplished that. I met them by staying on task in class and following each of the progressive steps that go along with this project.

2. What three goals do you have to accomplish before the next progress report is due?

· Started my project
· Had at least 10 scholarly sources that support my stance.
· Grasp a better understanding of exactly how children may be effective with cancer.

What input has your topic expert and/or mentor contributed to your progress in the last week? Have you asked anyone else for advice or help?

· To start my project as early as possible
· Not wait till the last minute for my work
· Always stay focused in class

  1. What progress have you made on your project and research in the past few weeks?
    • Explain how you met your goals
ü This marking period I was able to accomplish my goal of beginning to enact my developed project as well as starting my research paper on time. My main goal was to have created a narrowed route and found substantial information as to how children are affected developmentally by cancer, and I was able to achieve that goal.

    • Have my project up and running
    • Finish my paper
    • Begin thinking about creative ways to present my project to the class
  2. What input has your topic expert and/or mentor contributed to your progress in the last week? Have you asked anyone else for advice or help?
    • Begin my project NOW
    • Stay focused now that the paper due date is quickly approaching
    • Go down to CHOP and see if you can speak with children who suffer from varying cancers

  1. What progress have you made on your project and research in the past few weeks?
    • Explain how you met your goals

ü This marking period I was able to accomplish my goal of beginning to put together my project as well as starting my research paper on time, similar to my goals of the last time period. I am proud of myself for finally accomplishing my goal of doing my project, but not so pleased with my work as far as the paper.

    • Finish my project
    • Perfect my paper
    • Begin thinking about creative ways to present my project to the class
  1. What input has your topic expert and/or mentor contributed to your progress in the last week? Have you asked anyone else for advice or help?
    • Clean up my act as far as the paper is concerned
    • Stay focused and continue work ethic
    • Stay focused on the logistics of the project.

Progress Report #4: Hands on Project
Working with Ali Glickstein
1.What progress have you made on your project and research in the past few weeks?

We have made a lot of progress throughout the past few weeks with our hands on project. We have gotten most of the games ready for the children’s party at C.H.O.P. and have listed most of the supplies we need them to get for us. We feel as though our project is going at the proper pace and will be completed before the date of the party, December 6.

We have met our goals by making sure we get everything done on time and working together efficiently to complete our individual tasks.
2. What three goals do you have to accomplish before the next progress report is due?

Before our next progress report is due we have a few goals we must meet:
Finish creating the games for the party
Complete our supply list and submit it to chop
Teach games to the rest of the Youth in the Loop members
3. What input has your topic expert and/or mentor contributed to your progress in the last week? Have you asked anyone else for advice or help?
Ali's topic expert and my mentor, Mrs. Lewis, has been a great help with this project. She has taken a large part in helping us communicate with C.H.O.P. and has helped us create exciting games to keep the children engaged. We have asked other members of the Youth in the Loop committee for their input on the way we are going to run the party.


Progress Report #5: Hands on Project

1.What progress have you made on your project and research in the past few weeks?

We have made a lot of progress throughout the past few weeks with our hands on project. Our project is in the final stretch. We have been able to get everything situated and at this point it is just a matter of doing it. We have supplies already and things are falling into place. Our project will be completed by December 6.

We have met our goals by making sure we get everything done on time and working together efficiently to complete our individual tasks.

Before our next progress report is due we have a few goals we must meet:
Complete the project
Teach games to the rest of the Youth in the Loop members
Document properly

3. What input has your topic expert and/or mentor contributed to your progress in the last week? Have you asked anyone else for advice or help?

Ali's topic expert and my mentor, Mrs. Lewis, has been a great help with this project. She has taken a large part in helping us communicate with C.H.O.P. and has helped us create exciting games to keep the children engaged. We have asked other members of the Youth in the Loop committee for their input on the way we are going to run the party.

Progress Report #6: Presentation
1.What progress have you made on your project and research in the past few weeks?


Our project is now completed. I think it went very well. There were a lot of people that came to the event and the children really enjoyed it. I am proud of the work that we put in to the project and overall, it was a successful mission.

We met out goals by documenting everything properly and we were able to complete the overall project successfully. With teamwork and a great deal of diligence we were able to complete everything as intended.

Finish the slideshow

Create my speech
Get ready to present to the class

3. What input has your topic expert and/or mentor contributed to your progress in the last week? Have you asked anyone else for advice or help?

Mrs. Lewis has been a great help with this project. She has taken a large part in helping us communicate with C.H.O.P. and has helped us create exciting games to keep the children engaged. After this she has helped us send out thank you letters to all people involved and I thank her for this. We have asked other members of the Youth in the Loop committee for their input on the way we are going to run the party and they have said some very vital things. I am thankful to them for so much of their continued support.
